Description:
A flavorful dish featuring Jake & Amos Bacon Dressing creates a juicy chicken coating in a rich glaze and topped with crispy bacon. Perfect for a simple meal with rice or salad or as an appetizer. Make it for dinner one night or to take to a family get together.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of Jake & Amos Bacon Dressing
1 1/2 pounds of chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper, for taste
Cooking oil spray
Directions:
1. Season the bite-sized chicken pieces with salt and black pepper. Set aside while preparing the bacon and glaze.
2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy. Once done, transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate and crumble into small pieces.
3. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Jake & Amos Bacon Dressing, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
4. Lightly grease a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook through, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked to 165 degrees. This step should take about 6-8 minutes, though it may take slightly longer to ensure all chicken is done.
5. Reduce heat to medium-low and pour the maple glaze over the cooked chicken. Toss to coat evenly and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is slightly thickened.
6. Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the glazed chicken and stir together. You can serve it over rice, a fresh salad, or another base of your choice!
