    My mom made sauerkraut every year from the cabbage she grew in her garden. It was so sour you almost puckered when it was opened. The Jake and Amos Sauerkraut comes very close to my mom’s and I can assure you that is high praise. I think of her and the memories every time I open a jar.

    The best tasting sauerkraut on the market. Found it several years ago at a farmer's market. Bought 1 jar to try and it is now the only kind I will use.

    I tasted this at the J & A store in Amish country and was hooked! I order twice a year just to have them on hand. I like sauerkraut, but this kraut I love it! Has a hint of sweetness with the "sauer" and makes for a different and wonderful experience on your hotdogs! (Original review date: 3/20/2015).
