Pickle pizza might sound unconventional, but it's a surprisingly delightful treat. The spicy, briny flavor of our Jake & Amos Hot Bread and Butter Pickle Chips pairs perfectly with the rich, gooey cheese and savory pizza sauce, creating a unique combination that’s satisfying. The crunch of the pickles adds a pleasant contrast to the soft, doughy crust of the pizza. Our pickle pizza offers a burst of zest that elevates the traditional pizza experience, making it an exciting option for adventurous eaters. It’s the perfect way to shake things up at your next pizza night and offer something unexpected yet utterly delicious.
Ingredients:
1 pound pizza dough, store-bought or homemade (enough to make a 12-14 inch pizza)
2 cups Jake & Amos Hot Bread and Butter Pickle Chips, 16oz, drained
24 small Canadian bacon slices
3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
For sauce:
1 cup jarred Alfredo sauce, any brand
1 tablespoon dill weed
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a medium bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients until creamy and smooth.
- Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. You can use a pizza stone or a non-stick baking sheet.
- Once formed, top with the sauce, then add sliced Jake & Amos Hot Bread and Butter Pickle Chips, Canadian bacon, parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 16-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown. Let the pizza sit for about 3 minutes before cutting and service. Enjoy!
